John Chadima - Eastern Iowa Franchise Owner/Operator

John Chadima is active in the Eastern Iowa business community and maintains a portfolio of three Firehouse Subs franchises that consistently exceed $1 million each in revenues. Since 2013, his franchises have earned recognitions such as “Best Sandwich of Iowa City” and the Cedar Rapids location being named a “Top Ten Sandwich Shop in Iowa.” John Chadima supports the life-saving efforts of first responders from customer donations made through the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation.

Growing up in Cedar Rapids, John Chadima was a member of the state champion Regis High School basketball team. He earned his BS in physical education and athletic administration at the University of Iowa, while lettering as a football student manager all four years. He assisted with University of Wisconsin-Madison football operations through much of the 1990s and oversaw scheduling, travel, and the annual team budget.

As senior associate athletic director at the institution from 2003 to 2012, Mr. Chadima had direct administrative oversight of several sports and support programs, including football, men's and women's golf, wrestling, equipment and facilities/event management. A particular focus was on raising funds and gaining approvals for major capital project improvements. Under his watch, the university commenced construction of a hockey/swimming facility, a golf practice facility, the Porter Boathouse, the Goodman Softball Diamond, and several renovations and additions to Camp Randall Stadium.
